Welcome to École Port-Elgin Saugeen Central School. We are very pleased that you will be joining our WILDCAT family this year.

Our school has approximately 610 students and is considered ‘dual-track’ as we have classes in English and French from JK-grade 6. Our school is always busy, with a strong focus on student achievement and well-being. To this end, we take pride in the academic excellence of our students as well as the many activities both daily, and throughout the year that promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Our students take part in a variety of fundraisers for local and global charities, focusing on supporting those in need within our own community as well as in under-developed countries in our world. We are proud of our Me to We students and the many ways in which they continue to give support to others.

Aside from our academic program, our students enjoy a strong Physical Education and Arts program, where students can be involved in a number of extra-curricular activities, including sports, bands, and choirs.

Our staff is diligent in their efforts to plan and implement programs focused on the Ontario curriculum and student needs. We believe that ‘All Children Can Learn’ and achieve success. We work towards high expectations, but have fun along the way as well. Our students’ council helps to plan various spirit days throughout the school year, which are enjoyed by all.

We know you will enjoy becoming a member of the WILDCAT family. If you ever have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact the office (519) 832-2038.

We look forward to meeting you!
